10,696 new COVID-19 cases, 25 deaths reported in Indiana
Indianapolis, Indiana – According to the Indiana Department of Health 10,696 Hoosiers tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous week.
Also in the previous week, a total of 25 Hoosiers died, and one probable death was reported. The state has recorded 23,391 deaths and 1,027 probable deaths for “All Time” from the coronavirus.
The “All Time” count for Indiana shows 1,891,405 Hoosiers have tested positive for the virus, and a total of 20,812,002 tests have been administered.
780 Hoosiers were hospitalized Sunday with COVID-19, the state said.
According to IDOH, 10,066,401 vaccine doses have been given through Sunday in Indiana.
A total of 3,819,773 Hoosiers were fully vaccinated through Sunday. That’s about 54.9% of the total population.
1,680,422 Hoosiers are estimated to have recovered from the virus, according to the Regenstrief Institute.
There have been more than 601,474,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 6,488,000 deaths, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
