After a collision in Shelby County, one person died
Shelby County, Indiana – A single-vehicle collision in Shelby County on Tuesday afternoon claimed a life.
Around 2:30 p.m., deputies from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene of a collision near CR 900 N. and CR 675 W. When deputies arrived, they found one dead person inside a car that had apparently collided with a tree.
According to SCSD’s preliminary findings, the motorist briefly pulled off the road before trying to restore control and cross the street again by overcorrecting. Their car allegedly struck a nearby tree at that precise moment.
The name of the dead will be revealed later by the Shelby County Coroner’s Office.
Investigations into the fatal crash are still ongoing.
