SWAT responds after man barricades himself inside car
Indianapolis, Indiana – Sunday was the day that East Washington Street was closed due to a SWAT incident.
On the east side, close to the intersection of Washington Street and Gladstone Avenue, a man barricaded himself inside a vehicle with numerous children, according to sources who indicated that police were responding shortly after the incident.
The SWAT team became available. Immediately after the children were removed from the van, the father was taken into jail by the state police.
The standoff, which came to a conclusion at approximately 5:50 p.m., was watched by a big crowd. There was a series of loud explosions heard in the neighborhood, and the cameras of the reporters were rolling continuously.
Investigations are still being conducted on the matter.
