Indianapolis, Indiana – As is customary in the Marion County Clerk’s Office, a lot of couples get married on Valentine’s Day, so love is in the air.

Marquise Howard, one of the numerous individuals getting married on Friday, declared, “I get to spend the rest of my life with the love of my life.”

The Marion County Clerk’s Office is transformed into a unique Valentine’s Day location for couples getting married on this one day of the year. While some couples decided to get married at the last minute, others had been preparing for this day for a long time.

Eboni Howard stated, “We have been planning this for about two to three weeks.” “It really happened all of a sudden.”

On Valentine’s Day, almost 70 couples got married here, including the Howards. Couples from all across the nation, if not the world, were involved, not just those from Marion County.

Dan Goldblatt of the Marion County Clerk’s Office stated, “We have more couples registered this year than ever before.” “We anticipate that the City-County Building clerk’s office will be busier than ever on Valentine’s Day.”

These couples are supporting the American Heart Association during Heart Month in addition to all of the festivities. Each couple gave at least $50 to the Go Red for Women Campaign in lieu of an officiant’s fee.

“We are honored to collaborate with the American Heart Association once more in the hopes of raising even more money than we did the previous year,” Goldblatt stated. “We raised over $3,000 for the American Heart Association last year, and we hope to raise over $4,000 this year.”

Goldblatt acknowledged that they had raised over $4,000 in donations by the end of the day.

He remarked, “It’s just a great day.” “We just look forward to it every year and are so happy that so many people have participated.”

Donating to a worthy cause like this one, according to couples like the Howards, made the day even more memorable.

Eboni Howard remarked, “We had to jump on it when we saw they were doing this fundraiser.” “We are happy to be able to participate in and support the fundraiser.”

Maverick, the Howards’ 21-month-old son, was thrilled to be a part of his parents’ big day.

He’s [happy to be here].” despite the fact that he is unaware of what is happening at the moment,” they stated.
