2 people critically injured in northwest Indianapolis crash

Indianapolis, Indiana – Two persons were hospitalized during an early-morning crash on Friday in Indianapolis’ northwest, according to the police.
Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to a two-car collision between 86th Street and Payne Road, which is located just west of Michigan Road, shortly after 7 a.m.
After suffering severe injuries, both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals for medical attention and blood work.
Authorities withheld the cause of the collision.
For the sake of investigation and cleanup, IMPD anticipates that 86th Street will be closed until at least 10 a.m.
