2022’s “Season’s Readings” at the Indianapolis Public Library to give kids free books

Indianapolis, Indiana – At the Eagle Branch library on Monday, the Indianapolis Public Library launched the “Season’s Readings” 2022 program with Mayor Joe Hogsett and sponsor Sondhi Solutions.
Indianapolis citizens are encouraging people to pick up a free children’s book to give to children and loved ones this holiday season, according to a news release.
“Season’s Readings” bins will be filled of books at all library locations from Dec. 1- Jan. 7.
At most locations, free gift bags with accent stickers and markers will be available. Any location accepts donations of new or slightly used books for kids and teens.
“This partnership with the Indianapolis Public Library allows us to help young children and families build a home library while providing ample opportunities for the community to give back by donating children’s books. Our goal is to ensure that every child, whether celebrating the holidays, a birthday, a milestone, or simply receiving a gift from a loved one, continues to develop a lifelong love of literature this winter,” Mayor Joe Hogsett said.
Hogsett, interim CEO of the Indianapolis Public Library Nichelle M. Hayes, and Jeff Roeder, director of external communications at Sondhi Solutions, all contributed some of their favorite books to the cause.
