Indianapolis, Indiana – According to notifications sent recently by the state Department of Workforce Development, three firms in Indiana will be closing and 233 jobs will be lost overall.

The letters including the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification were posted on the state government’s website.

Ninety employees of Gannett Publishing Services, which publishes The Indianapolis Star and other newspapers in the area, will lose their jobs at its printing plant located at 8278 N. Georgetown Road in Indianapolis by April 15.

According to a statement from Gannett Corporate Community, The Indianapolis Star will keep offering its journalism and advertising services, and the company is “unwaveringly committed” to the central Indiana region.

Next, by April 19, Elkhart-based Forest River, located at No Boundaries Plant No. 77 in Goshen, will eliminate 83 positions. The company was listed on the state’s WARN notice listing under the heading “Automobile and Light Duty Motor Vehicle Manufacturing.” Goshen is located about 20 minutes east of South Bend on the road.

One of the biggest producers of recreational vehicles in North America, according to Forest River, is known for its class A and C motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, destination trailers, toy haulers, and camping trailers.

Additionally, 60 jobs will be lost when Integra LifeSciences in Lafayette closes on May 31.
