BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — A 37-year-old Bloomington man died Saturday after crashing an off-road vehicle Friday night.
David Deckard Jr. was operating a four-wheeler around 9:30 p.m. on private property in a wooded area in the 1400 block of Cedar Bluff Road when he lost control of the ATV and was thrown from the vehicle, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources said.
He suffered head and chest injuries and was taken to Bloomington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday morning.
Deckard was not wearing a helmet or proper safety equipment, the DNR said.
