73 COVID-19 deaths, 2,960 more cases of coronavirus reported in Indiana

Indianapolis, Indiana – On Wednesday, the Indiana Department of Health updated the state’s coronavirus dashboard with new COVID-19 data.
Data was gathered up until Tuesday. Every Wednesday, the state’s dashboard is updated.
On Tuesday, the COVID-19 death toll in Indiana increased to 24,629 from 24,556 on January 11. That is a growth of 73.
On Tuesday, there were 1,167 potential fatalities, up from 1,166 on January 11. That represents a 1.5% rise.
From 2,017,978 on January 11, the overall number of COVID-19-positive cases increased to 2,020,938 on Tuesday. That represents a 2,960% increase.
On Tuesday, the state reported a seven-day average of 419 ER visits and 79 hospital admissions.
According to IDOH, 3,854,228 Indiana residents had finished the primary vaccine series as of Tuesday. 55.4% of the entire population is represented by that.
Through Tuesday, 816,928 Hoosiers in total have received the most recent booster shot.
The Regenstrief Institute estimates that 1,783,004 Indiana residents have recovered from the virus.
According to the Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering, there have been more than 667,899,000 confirmed cases worldwide, resulting in more than 6,729,000 fatalities.
