88 COVID-19 deaths, 9,266 more cases of coronavirus in 2 weeks reported in Indiana

Indianapolis, Indiana – On Wednesday, the Indiana Department of Health updated the state’s coronavirus dashboard with new COVID-19 data.

Data was gathered up until Tuesday. Every Wednesday, the state’s dashboard is updated.

The COVID-19 death toll in Indiana increased from 24,723 on February 1 to 24,811 on Tuesday. That is a growth of 88.

On Tuesday, there were 1,187 potential fatalities, up from 1,179 on February 1. That represents a growth of eight.

From 2,029,459 on February 1, the overall number of COVID-19-positive cases increased to 2,038,725 on Tuesday. A 9.266 percent increase, then.

On Tuesday, the state saw a seven-day average of 272 visits to ERs and 56 hospital admissions.

According to IDOH, as of Tuesday, 3,857,601 Hoosiers had finished the primary vaccine series. Around 55.5% of the population is represented by that.

Through Tuesday, the most recent booster shot has been administered to 847,949 Hoosiers in total.

The Regenstrief Institute estimates that 1,795,313 Indiana residents have recovered from the virus.

According to the Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering, there have been more than 673,422,000 confirmed cases worldwide, resulting in more than 6,857,000 fatalities.
