Sun King will launch a new beer inspired by eclipses
Indianapolis, Indiana – On the day of the eclipse, do you require a special beverage? Sun King Brewing is here to help.
The Indianapolis brewery claims that Sun King collaborated with twelve other breweries situated inside the eclipse’s totality path in April to produce a distinctive beer. The Indianapolis beer, “3-07,” honors the duration of the anticipated total solar eclipse in Indianapolis on April 8.
According to officials, the beer is a golden ale with coffee roasted by Indianapolis’ Sun Bean Roastery incorporated into it.
“We’ve got this beautiful golden ale that represents the sun, and then on the dark side, we have the coffee beans in there,” Dave Colt, the co-founder and brewmaster of Sun King Brewing, said. “It’ll have this cool, roasty wonderfulness happening at the same time.”
A month ahead of the eclipse day, on Friday, the beer will be available for purchase, according to officials. It will be available to Hoosiers at all Sun King establishments as well as other bars that serve Sun King brews.
Additionally, on April 8 at 11 a.m., the brewery at 135 N. College Ave. will host an Indianapolis Total Solar Eclipse Viewing Party, organized by the brewing firm. Its website states that there will be free admission and a range of activities at the event.
