Two Bloomingtonians arrested at Walmart
Bloomington, Indiana – Two people were arrested at Walmart on Saturday after Bedford Police officers were requested to Walmart after a loss prevention officer stopped two people for shoplifting.
When police arrived, two Walmart employees told police they witnessed both 53-year-old Robert Destefano and 40-year-old Amanda Self, both of Bloomington, fill three shopping carts full of merchandise over the course of four hours and eventually pass all points of sale, said Chief Terry Moore.
“Once they were stopped, they both gave different stories and were placed under arrest,” Chief Moore added.
During a vehicle inventory, officers located meth, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, medications, and syringes.
Police arrested both Destefano and Self on charges of theft, possession of meth, and unlawful possession of a syringe.
