Man killed at east side apartment complex in Indianapolis
Indianapolis, Indiana – According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, early Friday morning, a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex on the city’s east side.
According to IMPD, police were called to the Carriage House East Apartments on Tinton Court, not far from the intersection of Mitthoefer Road and East 42nd Street, just before 2 a.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. He did not survive.
Detectives at the scene learned the man was shot during a dispute with another person.
According to IMPD, the person was identified, interviewed, and released pending additional investigation and a review by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Dashawn Roscoe, police said.
An investigation is ongoing.
