5,401 new COVID-19 cases, 11 deaths reported in Indiana
Indianapolis, Indiana – According to the Indiana Department of Health 5,401 Hoosiers tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous week.
Also in the previous week, a total of 11 Hoosiers died, and no probable deaths were reported. The state has recorded 23,511 deaths and 1,042 probable deaths for “All Time” from the coronavirus.
The “All Time” count for Indiana shows 1,910,442 Hoosiers have tested positive for the virus, and a total of 20,915,405 tests have been administered.
The state says 624 Hoosiers were hospitalized Sunday with COVID-19.
10,085,202 vaccine doses have been given through Sunday in Indiana, IDOH said.
A total of 3,824,492 Hoosiers were fully vaccinated through Sunday. That’s about 55% of the total population.
1,703,198 Hoosiers are estimated to have recovered from the virus, according to the Regenstrief Institute.
There have been more than 609,111,115 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 6,515,906 deaths, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
