3,441 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths reported in Indiana
Indianapolis, Indiana – According to the Indiana Department of Health, 3,441 Hoosiers tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous week.
Also in the previous week, a total of 12 Hoosiers died, and no probable deaths were recorded. The state has recorded 23,624 deaths and 1,050 probable deaths for “All Time” from the coronavirus.
The “All Time” count for Indiana shows 1,920,530 Hoosiers have tested positive for the virus, and a total of 21,005,761 tests have been administered.
According to the state, 469 Hoosiers were hospitalized Sunday with COVID-19.
10,098,035 vaccine doses have been given through Sunday in Indiana, IDOH said.
A total of 3,828,893 Hoosiers were fully vaccinated through Sunday. That’s about 55% of the total population.
1,720,529 Hoosiers are estimated to have recovered from the virus, according to the Regenstrief Institute.
There have been more than 615,449,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 6,538,000 deaths, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
