Friday night shooting leaves two injured, unofficially one victim is a child
Indianapolis, Indiana – Friday night shooting that occurred on Indianapolis northwest side resulted in two people being shot and injured.
Officers were dispatched to the scene in the 1700 block of Lafayette Road after a 911 call in regards to a person shot. When officers arrived at the scene, they found one person with an apparent gunshot wound, our team learned.
But the incident report that was made public later said that there were two people who were shot, one male and one female, but their ages were not given.
There is an ongoing investigation about the shooting, and more details are expected to be released by the local police. So far, no one has confirmed or denied that one of the victims was a child.
This unofficial information that one of the victims was a child was initially given by the police. According to the claims, one victim was awake and breathing when officers arrived at the scene. That victim was apparently a child. However, the police spokesperson was not able to confirm this information later. The IMPD didn’t provide more details about what had happened before the officers’ arrival.
