Police looking into the circumstances surrounding a man’s death who was discovered fatally shot in Indianapolis
Indianapolis, Indiana – An adult man was discovered fatally shot on the northeast side of Indianapolis early Saturday morning, and police have opened an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
The shooting incident occurred shortly after midnight, at approximately 12:30 a.m., in the 3300 block of South Temple Avenue. Officers were sent to the scene in response to receiving reports about a person being shot.
Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had been shot. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Information about the victim’s identity or the motive in the incident were not released by authorities.
The initial investigation showed drugs were discovered at the scene; therefore, police believe this might be an incident that escalated following a drug-related dispute.
However, an investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
