Person shows up at hospital shortly after early-morning shooting, police investigating
Indianapolis, Indiana – A person who showed up at the hospital early on Sunday morning is being investigated by the police to see if they have any connection to a shooting that took place a short while earlier.
Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 1600 block of North Carrollton Avenue just before 2:30 on Sunday morning, according to the department. They found a victim who had injuries that were consistent with a gunshot wound when they arrived at the scene.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors were able to bring their condition under control.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) reported that shortly after officers arrived at the scene, a person walked into a nearby hospital with injuries that were consistent with a gunshot wound. The patient’s condition has also returned to normal.
The investigation into whether or not the two victims were involved in the same shooting has now been taken up by the police.
