Man shot to death at apartment on east side of Indy
Indianapolis, Indiana – After one of the bloodiest weekends of the year in Indianapolis, the violence continued into the early of Monday with a gunshot on the east side.
Around 3:35 a.m., IMPD responded to a shooting on E. 21st Street close to N. Ritter Avenue.
In the vicinity, a male was discovered inside an apartment. He took at least one shot.
He was taken to the hospital, according to the police, and was last listed as “stable.”
Three unidentified individuals, including two 17-year-olds, were listed as suspects in an IMPD incident report.
Eskenazi Hospital also had a different walk-in patient, though authorities are unsure of the location of the shooting.
After 12 individuals were shot over the weekend, there were shootings on Monday morning. Early on Saturday, four people were shot; eight more were shot between Sunday night and early Monday morning, including a DoorDash driver who was wounded while making a delivery.
In none of the shootings, anyone was killed.
