Actor Kirk Cameron spotted at the Indianapolis Public Library reading a new book
Indianapolis, Indiana – The Christian actor and author Kirk Cameron brought his new book “As You Grow” to the Indianapolis Public Library, where he was met with a crowd of thousands of people who came to hear him read from it.
The reading takes place less than a week after Cameron claimed in an open letter that he was refused a story hour due to the religious views mentioned in his book as well as the color of his skin. The reading takes place today.
The library refutes these claims, saying they do not “discriminate based on race, religion, or any other protected status when considering these partnerships.”
Donna Funderburk, an Illinois resident at Cameron’s event says “I never thought I would have the opportunity to see him speak or hear his reading. I saw he was going to be here and I’m just thrilled to be here but very disappointed that they haven’t given him a larger venue with the turnout of people.”
