Next week, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will travel to Indiana
Valparaiso, Indiana – Next week, Jill Biden, the first lady, will travel to Indiana.
Dr. Biden will appear in Valparaiso on Monday at 1 p.m. Central/2 p.m. Eastern, the White House said on Thursday.
Julie Su, the deputy secretary of labor and candidate for secretary of labor, and David Turk, the deputy secretary of energy, will be present with the first lady.
The group will go to Valparaiso’s Ivy Tech Community College.
The first lady is expected to discuss the Biden administration’s “commitment to strengthening our economy and building pathways to good-paying jobs through career-connected learning,” the White House said in a statement.
Following President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, she is on a campaign swing. Twenty states are scheduled to be visited by the president, the first lady, and cabinet secretaries.
