Man was shot and killed outside Lucas Oil Stadium
Indianapolis, Indiana – According to Indianapolis police, a guy was discovered dead on a sidewalk outside Lucas Oil Stadium on Monday night.
Special weapons and tactics teams were entering the Indiana Convention Center late on Monday night to protect it since police initially believed the suspect had fled into it. However, later security footage from the Convention Center showed the suspect entering the structure before exiting; the suspect was subsequently unable to enter it again.
Around 11:45 p.m. on Monday, there was no suspect in custody.
At about 9:45 p.m. on Monday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department received a call about a person who had been shot at the stadium at 500 S. Capitol Ave. Just northwest of the stadium, on West South Street and South Missouri Street, medics were dispatched a minute later.
Following the shooting, a sizable police presence ringed the stadium and the adjoining Indianapolis Convention Center on Monday night. Employees had been instructed to take cover in place, but the Convention Center had been sealed down until midnight on Monday.

This includes South, Capital, Missouri & Maryland St. Residents and drivers can expect these streets to be blocked off the next several hours as this investigation continues”
