On U.S. 31 in Kokomo, a semi crashes into an INDOT truck
Kokomo, Indiana – After a semi and an INDOT maintenance truck crashed on U.S. 31 in Kokomo on Wednesday afternoon, one of the INDOT employees was hurt. The collision happened close to exit 161 on U.S. 31 according to the Kokomo Police Department.
INDOT stated that all northbound lanes of the highway were closed between County Road 100 S and Country Road 200 S.
State Route 26 is being used as a detour for traffic.
Although INDOT acknowledged that the employee from the transportation department had been sent to a hospital, it withheld information about the nature of the injuries.
Police have not yet released any additional details.
