Several organizations respond to a house fire in Alexandria
Alexandria, Indianapolis – An electrical fire that started in a house in Alexandria early on Monday morning left no one harmed.
Crews responded to a 911 call regarding a house fire on E. County Road 600 North at roughly 7:30 a.m. on Monday, according to the East Madison Fire Territory. When emergency personnel arrived, they found that the house was emitting a lot of smoke.
Crews were able to restrict the fire to the center of the house after rapidly bringing it under control. Firefighters put it out in less than 20 minutes. There was extensive smoke damage throughout the house.
According to officials, all residents and a number of household pets were able to leave the area unharmed. Nobody was harmed.
The fire, which originated in the kitchen area, may have been electrical in origin, according to investigators.
Along with the East Madison Fire Territory, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, the Madison County Emergency Management Agency, Alexandria Monroe Township Fire, Van Buren Township Fire, Pipe Creek Township Fire, Lafayette Township Fire, Yorktown Fire, and other agencies all responded to the scene.
