Indiana’s Race Thompson set to compete in Portsmouth Invitational Tournament
Indianapolis, Indiana – Race Thompson, a graduating forward for Indiana men’s basketball, will take part in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, which gets underway on Wednesday in Virginia.
Beginning on Wednesday at 7 p.m., the tournament—an eight-team showcase starring 64 college basketball seniors—begins. Professional scouts, including those from foreign leagues, will watch Thompson play.
Together with fellow Big Ten forward Justice Sueing, who concluded his career at Ohio State this year, Thompson will participate for the Portsmouth Sports Club.
Thompson participated in 130 games for Indiana over the course of six seasons, accumulating 997 points in his career while averaging 7.6 points and 5.5 rebounds.
Juwan Morgan was the final Indiana participant in the competition, according to the press release. Players like Tim Hardaway, Jimmy Butler, Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, and Tim Hardaway have previously participated in the Portsmouth Invitational.
On the Portsmouth Invitational website, fans have the opportunity to pay to stream games.
