Clinton, White, and Howard counties are getting disaster recovery facilities
Clinton, White, Howard County, Indiana – To help residents impacted by the tornadoes that swept through the state on March 31 and April 1, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has announced that disaster recovery centers will open in the counties of Clinton, White, and Howard.
In a statement published on Sunday night, FEMA said that it would collaborate with the state of Indiana and the U.S. Small Business Administration to establish three new recovery centers in the Hoosier state.
Anyone in need is urged to stop by one of these three locations to get their questions answered, speak with FEMA recovery experts, get help filling out FEMA recovery applications, and learn more about the resources that are available.
The address of the Clinton County disaster recovery facility is 1859 S. Jackson St. The addresses of the White County and Howard County treatment centers are 1017 O’Conner Boulevard in Monticello and 220 N. Main Street in Kokomo, respectively.
May 1, 2, 11, and 12 will see all three locations open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., while May 3 and 13 will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The announcement also mentions that further recovery facilities would eventually open in other impacted locations.
Anyone who has been affected by the devastating storms and tornadoes is urged to visit fema.gov/drc to locate the closest recovery center.
There is also the option to apply for FEMA aid online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by phoning the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 if you don’t want to go to a recovery center.
The application date for this year is June 14.
