According to Reader’s Digest, this is the best pizza in the state of Indiana
Indianapolis, Indiana – Reader’s Digest is compiling a list of the greatest pizza in each state, and the pie that Reader’s Digest considers to be the finest in Indiana is a well-loved Indianapolis institution.
Based on Reader’s Digest’s methodology, which included “local knowledge, sales figures, rave reviews, and simply following our noses,” Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza was selected as the best pizza in the state of Indiana. This resulted in Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza being named the winner.
Irvington (located at 5646 E. Washington Street), Greenwood (located at 401 Market Plaza), and Lawrence (9165 Otis Avenue) are the three sites that makeup Jockamo’s presence in central Indiana.
“At Jockamo’s, you can indulge your carnivorous cravings with a pizza named after Indianapolis author Kurt Vonnegut’s famous book Slaughterhouse-Five. The crispy crust is loaded with pepperoni, sausage, ham, Italian beef, and bacon. This is pizza for people to settle serious issues over, like whether a hot dog is a sandwich,” wrote Reader’s Digest.
In 2007, a person who had previously worked at Bazbeaux Pizza established Jockamo. In the most recent issue of FamilyMind, Bazbeaux was recognized as having earned the title of the finest family pizza place.
