A body of a child aged five was discovered in an apartment pool located outside of Bloomington
Bloomington, Indiana – According to a press statement issued by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on July 13, a boy youngster of five years of age was discovered lifeless in the pool of the Woodland Springs Apartments.
At around 7:15 p.m. on that particular day, deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the apartment, which was situated at 3111 S. Leonard Springs Road. At that time, medical and fire professionals were actively performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the youngster. In spite of being taken to IU Health Bloomington, the infant was pronounced dead at the hospital where they were being treated.
According to the announcement, an initial inquiry revealed that there was no indication of a criminal conspiracy.
The early autopsy results are consistent with drowning, according to an email sent by Detective Lieutenant Jennifer Allen on the investigation. According to what Allen wrote, the youngster was in the pool with his mother, a friend of the mother’s, five siblings, and the mother’s friend.
It was indicated in the release that the inquiry is still ongoing.
