A dump truck accident near Franklin claims one life
Franklin, Indiana – The Johnson County Sheriff reports that the department is looking into a tragic dump truck accident that happened on Wednesday afternoon.
At 2:44 on Wednesday, the police were notified of an accident near the 3100 block of South Mauxferry Road. That is two miles south of Franklin in a rural region.
A dump truck was discovered by officers lying on its side amid some trees. The person, whose identity the sheriff’s office withheld in a news release, passed away at the scene of the collision.
Between county highways 300 South and 350 South, Mauxferry Road was shut down for an inquiry.
No other details will be made public until the family has been notified and the person has been positively identified.
