A Fort Wayne man detained for abusing children
Fort Wayne, Indiana – According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, a 53-year-old male was taken into custody on Friday morning on suspicion of child molestation.
The Fort Wayne Police Department was notified of an alleged child molestation on July 28, 2023, by the Indiana Department of Child Services.
During a forensic interview, the youngster revealed that she had been the victim of sexual abuse as a child.
She named the putative defendant as Michael Souder. After the inquiry was finished, the defendant was given an arrest warrant. After being taken into custody on Friday morning, Souder was kept at the Allen County Jail.
Three counts of child molestation were the preliminary charges brought against Fort Wayne resident David Michael Souder, 53.
The Indiana Department of Child Services, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the Dr. Bill Lewis Center for Children, and the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center provided support to the Fort Wayne Police Department.
