A.G. Rokita sues an apartment building for careless disregard of the living circumstances of tenants
Indianapolis, Indiana – An Indianapolis apartment building is being sued by the State of Indiana over resident allegations of negligence.
Todd Rokita, the attorney general of Indiana, launched a lawsuit against the 48-townhouse Willow Brook Apartments complex on East 52nd Street next to Keystone Avenue.
The lawsuit claims that apartment managers routinely ignored maintenance requests, failed to deliver executed lease papers, misbilled customers, and permitted unlivable conditions.
According to Rokita, Willow Brook has already received citations from the neighborhood authority for problems with the electrical, plumbing, moisture control, and utility shutoffs.
Authorities’ attempts to contact property owners and management regarding the apartment complex have received no responses.
