Advisory for Indiana travelers

Indianapolis, Indiana – Only three of Indiana’s 92 counties are currently subject to the state’s most severe travel warning, which is red.
On Friday, the red level was present in as many as 15 counties, which means that only emergency management specialists are allowed to travel.
The yellow counties have issued a travel alert, which indicates that travel may be restricted and that drivers should exercise caution while on the road. Only travel that is absolutely necessary is advised in orange-shaded counties; this includes going to and from work, as well as traveling in the event of an emergency.
The County Travel Advisory Map indicates that Posey County is the only county that does not have any kind of restriction in place.
