The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to the scene of a reported automobile collision involving a bicyclist on Wednesday at U.S. 27 North and Whitewater Road. According to the report, the rider was seriously hurt in the collision. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered that Dean Dunaway, 56, of Fountain City, Indiana, had collided with a 2005 Maroon Chevrolet Avalanche that was traveling south on U.S. 27 just south of Whitewater Road while riding a bicycle along the southbound shoulder.
