Aliyah Boston of the Fever wins a second Rookie of the Month award
Indianapolis, Indiana – Aliyah In her first season, Boston is establishing a name for herself.
The Indiana Fever center was selected the WNBA Rookie of the Month for June by the league, making her the first player in team history to receive two Rookie of the Month honors.
Boston played 11 games in June, averaging 15.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 30.5 minutes per game. In seven of the contests, she notched ten or more points.
On June 18, the former Gamecock tied her career high with 25 points, including four shot blocks, against the Atlanta Dream. She had 25 points and 11 rebounds in the game on June 6 against the Chicago Sky.
Boston also tops all rookies in scoring, rebounds, blocks, and minutes played per game, and continues to lead the WNBA in field goal percentage shooting (61.8%). She has so far participated in all games.
