An honorable performer and comedian will perform stand-up comedy at IU Bloomington

Bloomington, Indiana – The Indiana University Auditorium will host a night of stand-up comedy thanks to Emmy and Writer’s Guild Award winner John Oliver, who is going back to his comedic origins.
Oliver is well recognized for his starring appearances in movies and television, notably those in the NBC sitcoms “Community,” “Bob’s Burgers,” and “Big Mouth.” He presently hosts “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” on HBO.
He also starred in the stand-up special “John Oliver: Terrifying Times” and hosted his own stand-up series for Comedy Central called “John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show” for four seasons.
IU Auditorium Executive Director Maria Talbert commented, “We are thrilled to host the award-winning comedian and TV star John Oliver on our stage this fall.” “John will perform his own style of humor on our campus, and it promises to be an entertaining evening. The audience will be thrilled and educated by his wit, satire, and matchless charisma.
On September 30, Oliver will make his IU debut. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
