An online meeting company in Evansville is closing and cutting 69 workers
Indianapolis, Indiana – An online meeting management company intends to close its Evansville headquarters and lay off 69 employees.
The state has been notified by Meetings and Events International that its Evansville office will close on June 30.
March 30 is when the first round of layoffs is expected to occur.
“MEI’s online platform offers convenient, easy-to-use program scheduling for meetings, conferences, webcasts, advisory boards, training, and more,” according to the company’s website.
The closure of the location is attributed to MEI’s announcement of “recent unforeseeable and unexpected business circumstances.”
