Arson investigators called to Indy liquor store fire
Indianapolis, Indiana – Investigators looking into arson are investigating a fire that occurred at a liquor store on Indianapolis’ near east side on Friday morning.
Crews from the Indianapolis Fire Department were dispatched to a fire at the Liquor Barn, 4215 E. New York Street, shortly after 5:30 a.m.
After bringing the situation under control swiftly, firefighters discovered evidence that suggested someone may have attempted to set the structure on fire sources at the site.
The Liquor Barn was locked up for the night and no one was inside when the fire started.
The extent of the building’s damage and whether it will be able to reopen for business on Friday were not disclosed by IFD.
