Bicyclist killed in Anderson after being hit by an SUV
Anderson, Indiana – The Anderson Police Department reports that a cyclist was killed in Anderson on Monday night after being hit by an SUV.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Main Street and Haverhill Drive just before six o’clock in response to a report of a serious accident. That is on the south side of the city.
Officers arrived and discovered a woman operating an SUV and a man operating a bicycle had collided.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital with a severe head injury, where he eventually passed away.
Police have not disclosed the man’s identification since they are still looking into the collision.
