27 more residents infected with Covid-19 in Bloomington nursing home
Bloomington, Indiana – During the state’s most recent reporting period, COVID-19 outbreaks at local and regional nursing homes slowed, but a large batch of new cases were identified by one Bloomington facility.
For the seven-day period ending Jan. 13, Garden Villa Bloomington announced that 27 of its residents were diagnosed with COVID-19. That brings the overall infected residents throughout the pandemic to 63; six have died. Five new staff members were also diagnosed with COVID-19, for a total of 34, according to the Indiana State Health Department that week.
