BPD makes arrest after they find heroin and marijuana
BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after a Bedford Police officer was on patrol in the area of 14th and I streets and witnessed a driver in a maroon Toyota Tacoma swerve into the left lane of I Street and then abruptly back into the right lane.
The officer stopped the driver, 37-year-old Todd Beikman, south of the intersection of 8th and I streets.
The officer said Beikman appeared nervous. Canine Maximus alerted officers to possible drugs on the driver’s side door.
Officers found a marijuana vape cartridge and a folded piece of white paper that contained heroin.
Beikman was arrested on charges of possession of heroin, marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
