Indianapolis, Indiana – There is a new white rhino exploring the Plains area of the Indianapolis Zoo, spreading positivity and fun along the way.

The 19-year-old white rhino Zenzele, also known as Zen, relocated to Indiana from The Wilds, a safari and conservation park in Cumberland, Ohio, and joined the zoo in early June.

In a statement on Tuesday, the zoo said that Zen quickly adapted to her new surroundings. Zen is regarded as relaxed but gregarious and inquisitive.

The Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Animal Survival Plan, which collaborates with certified zoos and aquariums to ensure sustainable, healthy, and varied settings for endangered animals, is said to have recommended Zen for housing at the zoo.

According to the zoo, Zen also appreciates receiving lots of scratches and pets.
