Indianapolis, Indiana – Deian Sanders, aka “Coach Prime,” will be visiting Indianapolis. He will be the featured speaker at Steward Speakers’ 2024 Annual Gala and Award Ceremony, the organization said.
As the head coach of the Colorado University Buffaloes football program and a former Jackson State University student, Sanders is a Pro Football Hall of Famer who will add his own charm to the occasion. “Sports and Education and the Impact on the African American Community” is the theme for the 2023–2024 speaker season.

The impact that “Coach Sanders” has had on HBCUs and collegiate football as a whole is immense. For the seventh season running, Williams stated that IUPUI is honored to serve as the speaker series’ title sponsor.
