Columbus police investigating after woman hit, killed while walking

Columbus, Indiana – Police are looking into the death of a lady in Columbus who was hit by a car and killed.
Around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, the Indianapolis Road and Arcadia Drive area received a contact to the Columbus Police Department.
According to the police, the car’s driver was present, engaged in conversation with officers, and acknowledged to running over a person.
Victoria Hagan, a 38-year-old pedestrian, has been named. Hagan, according to the police, was strolling southward in the same general area as the car.
The inquiry required a five-hour closure of Indianapolis Road.
The investigation, according to Columbus police, is ongoing.
There have been no detentions.
