Firefighters battling house fire in Shoals

SHOALS – Firefighters with Shoals, Martin County Civil Defense, and Lost River Fire Departments are battling a log cabin fire in the 12000 block of Chicken Farm Road.
The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m.
The home is owned by Roy and Debbie Salmon.
The family was home when the fire started and because of smoke detectors were able to escape unharmed.
Also on the scene are officers with the Martin County Sheriff’s Department, Shoals Police Department and a Martin County Ambulance crew.
