Flu easing in Indiana? 66 people have died this season thus far
Indianapolis, Indiana – The flu season in Indiana might be ending.
According to data provided on Friday, the state recorded 6 additional deaths, bringing the season total to 66. Out of the five new deaths, five occurred last week.
Individuals under the age of 25 have accounted for three of those total deaths.
More than five flu-related deaths have been reported in two counties: Porter (6) and Lake (9).
The flu virus activity in Indiana is classified by the CDC as moderate; this is the third week in a row that the virus has decreased.
