Following a traffic stop, IPS finds a weapon, cocaine, and meth

Lawrence County, Indiana – Following a traffic stop on Friday, Indiana State Police officers discovered several grams of cocaine, methamphetamine, and a loaded firearm.

According to IPS, when a car was stopped for an equipment infraction on State Road 37 in Lawrence County, troopers found a loaded firearm, digital scales, 60 grams of cocaine, and three grams of methamphetamine.

Jamisha Pantoja, who is 29 years old, was the driver. The passenger’s name was also revealed to be Lacie Randolph, a 32-year-old woman. It was also revealed that a 2-year-old was in the car. Both travelers are Bedford locals.

After providing troopers with a positive signal alerting them to the presence of banned substances, police K-9 Loki was able to find the drugs. On the following charges, Pantoja was detained and taken to the Lawrence County Jail:

• Dealing Cocaine, a Level 2 Felony
• Possession of Cocaine, a Level 3 Felony
• Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 5 Felony
• Neglect of a Dependent, a Level 5 Felony
• Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Level 6 Felony

Randolph was also detained for possessing and trafficking cocaine. The Indiana Department of Child Service has received the juvenile child.
