Gainbridge Fieldhouse’s 2024 Indianapolis 500 matchups

Indianapolis, Indiana – Butler and Purdue will both be present at the Indianapolis 500 this year.
At Gainbridge Fieldhouse on December 14, the Boilermakers will play Texas A&M, and the Bulldogs will play Wisconsin. A later time will be announced for tip times and broadcast details.
The doubleheader, which is being hosted by Indiana Sports Corp, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, and Russ Potts Productions, Inc., is an attempt to attract elite collegiate basketball teams to Indianapolis.
It supports the nonprofit goals of Indiana Sports Corp. by acting as an annual fundraiser. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on August 23.
This will only be Purdue and Texas A&M’s sixth meeting overall, according to the organizers, since 1941. When they played each other in the 2010 NCAA Tournament, the Boilermakers won a second-round match.
Wisconsin has defeated Butler 31 times in their 31 meetings, with the Badgers leading the series 17–14. When the teams last faced off in 2011, the Bulldogs defeated Wisconsin in the Sweet 16 en route to making their second consecutive trip to the national championship game.
The first Indy Classic, which took the place of the Crossroads Classic, took place in 2022 and pitted Purdue against Davidson and Ball State against Illinois State. Arizona vs. Purdue and Ball State vs. Indiana State were the 2023 matchups.
