Grab a purple McDonald’s milkshake to honor Grimace’s birthday

Indianapolis, Indiana – Grimace, a figure from McDonaldland, is having a birthday, and McDonald’s invites fast food lovers to join in the celebration.
Beginning on Monday, fans can swing by McDonald’s for a Grimace Birthday Meal that includes a unique purple milkshake that was created in honor of Grimace and was delicious and iconic.
The vanilla soft serve and berry flavors of the Grimace Birthday Shake are purple in color.
Fries, a Big Mac or a 10-piece McNugget meal are included with the meal.
In honor of Grimace’s special day, McDonald’s is urging fans to give to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Fans can use the “add yours” sticker on McDonald’s Instagram story on Tuesday and Wednesday to upload a picture of their fondest birthday memory. McDonald’s will donate $5 to RMHC for each image shared, up to a total of $200,000.
One of the original characters from McDonaldland is Grimace. In June 1971, the enigmatic, amusing purple creature made his entrance.
