Greenfield neighborhood collaboration gathering items for Hurricane Helene relief
Greenfield, Indiana – A local Greenfield fire station and towing firm are partnering to encourage locals to contribute items that will be utilized to aid Hurricane Helene victims in North Carolina.
In a press statement, Interstate Delaware & South Towing & Recovery stated that it is working with the Buck Creek Township Fire Department in Greenfield to provide contribution collecting sites that will be shipped to Arden, North Carolina. Among these places are:
• Bargersville Wellness 17 Baldwin Street, Bargersville
• Amy Gabbard-Smith Agency 30 E. North Street, Greenfield
• Interstate Towing 2460 N. Graham Avenue, Indianapolis
• Walmart, 1965 N. State Street, Greenfield
After a semi-truck delivered the first batch of goods to a relief distribution center in Buncombe County, North Carolina, on October 15, this will be the second delivery of supplies.
According to the statement, a number of firemen used financial donations to spend $4,000 at a Costco on County Line Road on food, water, medicine, cleaning supplies, and kid-friendly items.
After that, everything was loaded onto a semi-truck at Buck Creek Township Fire Station 71, located at 5809 Airport Boulevard in Greenfield, between the hours of seven in the morning and seven in the evening.
Baby formula, prescription drugs, paper products/plastic silverware, diapers, Gatorade, water, pet food, flashlights, canned goods, ready-to-eat meals, and batteries are a few of the most frequently requested items.
The materials will be shipped on October 21 at approximately 4 p.m.
