Groups hold gun violence prevention rally
Indianapolis, Indiana – A demonstration against gun violence in Indiana was conducted on Tuesday at the Statehouse by several organizations.
According to the organizers, volunteers and survivors of gun violence met with legislators.
According to organizers, the Hoosier state is seeing a faster rise in gun-related homicide rates than the national average.
An Indianapolis Fire Department firefighter related how he lost his best friend to gun violence on January 1. According to Ronnie Saunders, more has to be done. “We’ve got to find a way to end senseless gun violence. We shouldn’t be losing people.”
Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action, two branches of the biggest gun violence prevention organization in the country, organized the rally.
